A US8 in new balance is 41.5EU. Now the question is are the air max 90 true to size or did you size up? If the air max 90 (or US8 in nike or in general) are your true size, then go for EU41.5 in new balance. If you're actually half size smaller, a 7.5US, then go 40.5 in new balance. IMO the shoe is long, somewhat narrow and run big. I would say buy TTS if you have a wider foot and go a half size down if your feet are above average width or less and like your shoe more snug.
